Jerry Bodenbach, 72, passed away at 5:20 p.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Eunice C. Smith Home in Alton.
Born June 4, 1941 in Bunker Hill, he was a son of Otto and Anna (Wiltshire) Bodenbach.
He married Carolyn Cummins Oct. 13, 1962 in East Alton. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Kelly (Arthur) Jeannotte of Bethalto and Stacey (Brian) Krone of Scottsdale, Ariz.; a son, Barry (Trudy) Bodenbach of Godfrey; 7 granddaughters, Ashlynne, Hannah, Kylee, Sophia, Molly, Kierra, and Kasia; and a sister-in-law, Verdna Bodenbach.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Norma Das; and two brothers, Lowell and Virgil Bodenbach.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24 at Paynic Home for Funerals, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25. His nephew, Pastor Adrian Das will officiate.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
