Jaunja Taylor

Jaunja Kay Taylor, 58 went home to be with the Lord Saturday, August 8, 2015 at  7:31 a.m. her home with her family by her side.Jaunja was born August 15, 1956 in Alton Illinois to the union of the late Clifton and Gertrude (Rollins) Moore.She graduated from Alton high school and attended Lewis and Clark Community College. Jaunja was united in holy matrimony to Michael Taylor, Sr. in 1976. She was formerly employed at Millers Mutual as a secretary.Jaunja gave her life to Christ at young age and was a faithful member of Brown’s Faith Temple Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of the late Elder CB Brown. She remained faithful under the leadership of Pastor Governor Harris and current Pastor William C Harris.One of her favorite sayings was, "I'm blessed by the Best!" In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Clifton Moore, Jr.;  grandparents: Dan and Maedale Rollins and William Moore Sr. and Cynthia Moore McClain; an aunt, Naomi Alexander; Cousins, Tamra Anderson, Walter Alexander Jr., and David Rollins.Jaunja Kay Taylor leaves to forever cherish her memories: two sons, Michael Taylor, Jr.  and Gregrey D. Taylor both of Alton;  a daughter, Tamra Shakia D. Taylor  of Alton. Two step sons, KLynn Taylor and Paris Taylor  both of Alton; a step daughter, Precious Littizs  of California; three brothers, William "Billy" Gray of Alton, Ronald (Mitzy) Tyson of Mobile, Alabama, Clifton (Maria) Moore  of Alton; 2 uncles, William "Mo Cat" Moore of Alton, Walter Alexander, Sr. of Chicago; an aunt, Mary (Frank “Thurman”) Anderson of Godfrey, IL; One God sister, Angela Baker  of Indianapolis, IN; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, special children, cousins, friends and other relatives.Visitation will convene Friday, August 14, 2015 from 10 until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Monroe Memorial Church.
