Jan K. Fill

Jan K. Fill, 68, passed away on 12:46pm on Thursday, January 31, 2013, at Alton Memorial Hospital with her family by her side. She was born on January 23, 1945, in Godfrey, Illinois the daughter of the late Catherine Roberts Beck. She married John Bryant Fill in March of 1975 and he preceded her in death in February of 1984. Survivors include one son: John Fill, a sister and brother in law: Debbie and Greg Taylor of Alton, one brother: Milton Beck of Edwardsville, her aunt and uncle who were like another set of parents to her: Paul and Elizabeth Miller of Texas, a niece: Jessica Taylor of Alton, and a nephew: Nicholas Taylor of Alton.

She was a 1961 graduate of Alton High School. A woman of many talents, she loved gardening, crafting, and cooking. She was very artistic. She loved spending time with her family especially her son John. She attended Living Word Worship Center in Godfrey when her health permitted. She had many friends and was always there to help anyone in need. She exhibited great faith, love of God, and always conducted herself in a Christian way.

Memorial services will be held at 2pm on Monday, February 4, 2013, at Living Word Worship Center, 519 Grace Street in Godfrey. Rev. Michael Adams will officiate.

Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association or to the American Heart Association.
