James Ruhl

James C. Ruhl, age 80 of Edwardsville, died at 5:35 a.m. on Friday, January 22, 2016, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois. He was born June 24, 1935, in Edwardsville, the son of the late Charles & Edna (Pancher) Ruhl. James worked as a union carpenter in the Edwardsville area for many years and then went to work for Boeing, in St. Louis, until his retirement. He married Elaine Bohnenstiehl on July 3, 1959, in Collinsville, Illinois; she preceded him in death on August 22, 1976. James is survived by two sons, Rick Ruhl & wife Teresa of Wausau, Wisconsin, Mike Ruhl of Edwardsville; three daughters, Pam Rorie & husband Al of Edwardsville, Karen Ruhl of Glen Carbon, Mary Jo Ruhl of Collinsville; six grandchildren, and11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. James proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1955to 1959.Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 1, 2016 at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home in Edwardsville. He was cremated according to his wishes and will be interred at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.  Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois in care of Weber & Rodney Funeral Home, 304 N.
