James B. “Jabo” Staggs, II, 56, passed away at 7:05 p.m. Sunday, August 9, 2015.
Born Jan. 31, 1959 in Alton, he was a son of Georgia (Lyons) Staggs of Cottage Hills and the late James B. Staggs, I.
Jabo was a self-employed handyman for many years. He will be dearly missed.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, James Jines of Alton; 2 sisters, Paula (Kevin) Goodson of Cottage Hills and Barbie (Tony) Davidson of Bethalto; 2 brothers, Bruce (Brenda) Staggs of Independence, Mo. and Billy Dean (Ginger) Staggs of Godfrey.
He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Brad Alan Staggs; his paternal grandparents Preston Staggs and Naomi (Staggs) Foster; his maternal grandparents Wyman Lyons and Helen (Snell) Eklund; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a private memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to OSF St. Anthony’s Hospice.
