Jacob Josiah Walker, 29, passed away at 6:46pm on Friday, July 11, 2014, in the emergency room at Alton Memorial Hospital. He was born on March 11, 1985, in Alton the son of Jim and Debbie Walker of Rosewood Heights. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sons: Josiah Scott Walker and Jordan Jacob Allen Walker both of Rosewood Heights, one sister and brother in law: Shana and Jason Lewis of Rosewood Heights, one brother: Jeremie Sanders and his fiancé: Kandis Boden of Wood River, his maternal grandfather: William Walker of Rosewood Heights, his maternal grandmother: Mary Walker of Cottage Hills, his paternal grandmother: Delores Walker of Wood River, several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
He was formerly employed at Vee Jay Cement Company as a cement mason. He attended River of Life Family Church in Alton.
He was preceded in death by one sister: Sarah Lynn Walker on July 6, 2014, and his paternal grandfather: James Edward Walker.
In celebration of his life, memorial visitation will be from 11am to 1pm on Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River.
Memorials are suggested to his sons in care of Shana Lewis.
