Helen Louise Hampton, 88, passed away 8:45 p.m. Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
Born in Troy, MO on February 17, 1927, she was the daughter of Clarence and Myrtle Laura (LaRue) Admire.
On May 13, 1946 in Jefferson City, MO, she married Eldon Raymond Hampton. He survives.
Surviving also are a son, Kenneth (Karen) Hampton of Crestwood, MO; three daughters, Kathie Wilfong of Wycliffe, KY, Beverly Michaels of Roxana, Paula Berry of Bethalto; 10 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; three brothers, Leroy Admire of O'Fallon, MO, Clarencee, Jr. Admire of Oletha, KS, Jerry (Fran) Admire of Marietta, GA; and sister, Laura Tiemann of St. Peters, MO.
Her parents; two brothers, Russell and Clifford Admire; and three sisters, Lois Shields, Pat Reed and Jean Cox preceded in death.
Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday.
Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to the Rosewood heights 1st General Baptist Church, where she had been an active member or the American Cancer Society.
