Harriet L. Donaldson, 87, of Wood River, IL, died at 3:35 a.m. Wed. Nov. 12, 2014 at her home with her son and daughter-in-law at her side.
She was born Sept. 21, 1927, in Alton, IL to the late Allen Herschel & Ethel (Kidwell) Clevenger.
On June 15, 1946, she and Deltron M. “Red” Donaldson were married in Edwardsville, IL. He preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 2007.
She was a life member of the Wood River VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Navy Mothers and enjoyed painting and crafting.
Mrs. Donaldson is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Clayton “Clay” & Deborah Donaldson of Wood River and 13 grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Micheal Forrest Donaldson and a daughter, Cynthia Ann Donaldson.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of services at 11a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014 at Paynic Home for Funerals. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. at McInturff Cemetery in Mulberry Grove, IL.
Memorials may be made to the Wood River VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
