Harold D. May, 65, of Hutchinson, Kansas, lost his battle with cancer on Tuesday, January 12, 2016. He was born December 11, 1950 in Vandalia, Illinois. He married Sharon Kay McCammon on May 9, 1980. She survives. He was a 1968 graduate of Alton Senior High School in Alton, Illinois and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hazel Belle Hayward and Robert Sheridan May, Sr., and stepfather, Harold Simon Burch.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Amanda Lynn May Jumper and Andrea Kay May Brindle, son-in-laws, Robert Jumper and Keith Brindle, two grandchildren, Robert Jumper Jr. and Cheyenne Jumper. He is also survived by three brothers and sister-in-laws,Bob and Betty May of Hartford, Illinois, Bill and Francine May of Rineyville, Kentucky, and Darrell and Cynthia May of Brighton, Illinois.
His remains were cremated and a private memorial will be held for the family.
