Grace E. Jones

Grace E. Jones, 83, passed away at 5:21 am Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

She was born October 18, 1929 in Jersey County to the late John and Sallie (Parker) German.

She married Kenneth Jones in June of 1954 in Pensacola, FL. He preceded her in death.

She was a registered nurse for over 30 years at Alton Memorial Hospital retiring in 1995. She enjoyed reading, listening to the radio and working on puzzles. She volunteered at the Godfrey Book Store, and at the Beverly Farms resale shop.

She is survived by one daughter; Mary (Kathy) and her spouse Mike Love of Pueblo, CO, two sons; Robert Jones of Fremont, CA, and William and his spouse Carol Jones of Alton, Il, a son-in-law Billy Hill of Alton, and eight grand children and ten great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, and one daughter; Peggy Hill, and two sons; Michael Jones and Alan Jones.

Per her wishes cremation rites will be accorded, with a memorial service at a later date.
