"Gerry" Stahlhut

“Gerry” Gerald A. Stahlhut age 80, of Edwardsville, Illinois, died at 12:45 p.m. on Sunday, January 31, 201,6 at Stillwater Senior Living in Edwardsville. He was born on September 2, 1935, in Fort Russell Township, Illinois, the son of the late Arnold & Clara (Sanders) Stahlhut. Gerry married Maureen J. Uhe on June 8, 1957, in Alhambra, Illinois. She preceded him in death on January 10, 2014. He is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Kay Hansen of Wildwood, Missouri, Kristin  Kay Straub of Edwardsville; five grandchildren, Amanda Hansen, Lauren Wyant & husband Tyler, Alyssa Bussmann, Adam Bussmann & wife Allison, Zack Bussmann; a sister-in-law, Diane Heberer of Lampe, Missouri and one niece, Dr. Patricia Rice of Bethesda, Maryland. Gerry was one of the founding Trustees of the Holiday Shores Fire Department; he served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Madison County Pork Producers. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 5, 2016 at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home in Edwardsville. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home with Rev. John Roberts officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery in Bethalto, Illinois. Family request memorials to Hospice of Southern Illinois or Metro East Humane Society
