Genell Milam

Genell A. Milam, 74, passed away 2:30 a.m. Monday, March 24, 2014 at her residence. Born in Hardin on July 4, 1939, she was the daughter of Harvey T. and Flossie (Neisler) Preston.In 1960, she married Lester L Milam.  He died November 9, 1997.Surviving are a daughter, Mona Lisa Duffield of Granite City; three grandchildren, Joshua Duffield, Matthew Duffield and Lisa Smith; two sisters, Betty Pearson of St. Louis and Caroly Hamel of Cottage Hills.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers and seven sisters.A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 26 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.Rev. Warren Brown will officiate.Memorials are being requested to St. Anthony's Hospital Hospice.
