Frank Costello

Frank Costello, 86, passed away at 10:45am on Sunday, April 5, 2015, at his residence.  He was born on January 16, 1929, in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of the late Mitchell and Josephine (Castro) Castelli.  Survivors include two daughters, three sons, several grandchildren, several great grandchildren, one sister and brother in law: Margaret and Larry Dalton of California, two brothers: Mariano Costello of St. Louis, Joseph Costello of Bethalto, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and other extended family and friends.

He was formerly employed at Granite City Steel for 32 years.  He was the past Post Commander for the Granite City VFW Post 1300.  He was a member of the American Legion Post #113 in Granite City.  He was of the Catholic faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son and two sisters.

In celebration of his life, visitation will be from 9am until time of funeral services at 10am on Monday, April 13, 2015, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River.  Father James Flach will officiate.  Burial will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis. 

Memorials are suggested to Holy Angels Parish accepted at the funeral home.
