Frances Kay Shane, 55, formerly of Wood River, passed away at 5:23pm on Thursday, November 27, 2014, at IMC Hospital in Murray, Utah. She was born on November 11, 1959, in Granite City, Illinois the daughter of the late Betty (Adams) Shane and Joseph and Dolores Shane of Lebanon, Illinois. Survivors include four sisters and brothers in law: Debbie and Todd Arnett of Collinsville, Illinois, Susan and Tom Wells of Alhambra, Illinois, Diane and Jim Fife of Edwardsville, Pattie Moore of Alton, one brother: Richard Shane, and her companion: Toni Carlisle of Midvale, Utah.
She was formerly employed at Wal – Mart as a claims supervisor. She also was formerly employed at H&R Block in Bethalto and in Utah.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by one brother: Eddie.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 10am until time of funeral services at 12pm on Friday, December 5, 2014, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Burial will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights.
