Evelyn M. Mayden

Evelyn M. Mayden, 90, passed away at 8:30pm Friday March 1, 2013 at her residence with her family by her side.

She was born in St. Louis, MO and was the daughter of the late Earl and Ada Louise (Mills) Parker.

She married Phillip Neal Mayden on January 28, 1946. He preceded her in death.

Evelyn was a member of the Upper Alton Baptist Church, and enjoyed sewing, crocheting and her time volunteering with the American Cancer Society .

She is survived by two sons, David Mayden of Alton, and John Mayden of Alton; five grand children, Sara Creek, Clint Mayden, Judy Mayden, Kristen Flom, and Matthew Flom; six great grandchildren, Jade Privit, Sophia Creek, Jase Creek, Renoah Mayden, and Caleb and Camille O’Neal.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Parker.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 pm on Wednesday March 6, 2013 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton, IL.

Funeral service will be at 10 am Thursday March 7, 2013 at the Funeral Home with Rev. Brad Danaho officiating.

Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens.
