Ella “Jerri” Geraldine Prehn, 75, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2016 at her home.
Born Feb. 28, 1940 in Couch, Mo., she was a daughter of Clyde and Blanch (Crase) Combs.
Jerri retired after 37 years of service at General Electric in St. Louis, Mo. She loved and adored her family, as well as animals, including her own cats and dogs. She was a faithful member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wood River, Ill.
Survivors include a daughter, Vonda Miller and her fiancé Mark Dougherty of Roxana; a son, Ted and Denise Roberts of Fairview, Tex.; seven grandchildren, Randall Richert, Lauren (Zeb) Moore, Jordan Adkison, Jenna (Jimmie) Stewart, Corey Roberts, Kelsie Roberts, and Marcus Dougherty; four great grandchildren, Eli and Noah Moore and Braiden and Brooks Stewart; three sisters, Karen (Tim) Wall of Napa, Calif., Eureta (Jerry) Rackley of New Bern, N.C., and Geneva (Glenn) Janes of Hardy, Ark.; and a brother, David (Judy) Combs of Paw Paw, Mich.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5 at Paynic Home for Funerals, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6. Pastor Martin Schultz will officiate.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to the Madison County Humane Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
