Elizabeth “Libby” Woods, 82, died at 9:50 a.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Eunice Smith Nursing Home with her family by her side. Born September 9, 1932 in Alton, she was the daughter of Leo B. and Helen E. (Shrigley) Woods. She retired from Shell Refinery in Wood River and was a member of the Godfrey First United Methodist Church.
Surviving is a sister-in-law, Barbara Woods of Godfrey and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Benton, James, Charles, Marlow, and Donald Woods, and two sisters, Martha Phillips and Ruth Craig.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 5, 2014 at the Godfrey First United Methodist Church. Reverend Don E. Long Jr. will officiate.
Private burial will be at Upper Alton Cemetery.
