Eleanor M. Ellspermann, 90, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at Bethalto Care Center.
She was born on April 14, 1923 in Alton, IL, the daughter of Elmer A. and Dorothy G. (Holley) Jones.
She married Floyd Adam Ellspermann on February 22, 1942 at the Upper Alton Baptist Church. He preceded her in death on January 31, 2013.
Eleanor was an office manager for more than 30 years for Dr. Mather Pfeiffenberger Jr. and Sr. She was a member of the Bethalto United Methodist Church and the Bethalto Eastern Star. She enjoyed boating, bowling, knitting and crocheting.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and Robert Brown of Bethalto; a son and daughter-in-law, Dave and Bernadette Ellspermann of Bay St. Louis, MS; six grandchildren and their spouses, Lisa and Matt Sabatino, Laura Watts, Angela and Joe Dierking, Brian and Rebecca Ellspermann, Billy and Crystal Mooneyhan and Jim and Laurie Moore; seventeen great grandchildren and a sister, Marj Quann of Wisconsin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother, Ralph A. Jones.
Visitation will be from 11:30 am until services at 1 pm on Monday, December 30, 2013 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home with Pastor Charles West officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Bethalto Care Center.
