Douglas Waggoner

Douglas E. Waggoner, 57, died at 11:10 a.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at his residence. He was born October 15, 1956 in Alton the son of Jack Mason Waggoner and Norma R. (Elam). He worked as a building inspector for the city of Alton. He enjoyed photography and traveling out west on vacations. Surviving are one son; Ben Waggoner of Troy, IL, his mother; Norma Waggoner of Godfrey, one brother; David Waggoner (Becky) of Godfrey, and three sisters; Joyce McCormick (Jim) of Alton, Janice Gremaud (Paul) and Laura Schultz (Kevin) of Godfrey. He was preceded in death by his father Jack Mason Waggoner. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday with Reverend Jame Hahs to officiate. Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Elm Street Presbyterian Church.
