Dorothy L. Lagemann

Dorothy L. Lagemann, 93, died at 3:18 p.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at V.I.P. Manor in Wood River. Born October 7, 1919 in Alton, she was the daughter of William and Stella (Lawless) Wyman. She was a homemaker and helped run the family farm alongside her husband. She volunteered as a “Grandmother” for the Alton Schools for 10 years. On October 12, 1937 in Alton she married Roy E. Lagemann. He preceded her in death on July 8, 1982. Surviving is a son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Shelva Lagemann of Alton, and one granddaughter, Caitlin Lagemann of Alton. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, February 1, 2013 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013. Burial will be at Fosterburg Cemetery. Reverend Andre’ Dobson will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
