Dorothy J. Joslen Koeller, 83, passed away at 10:40 am on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at her home.
She was born on July 30, 1929 in Keyesport, IL, the daughter of Joseph A. and Lettie A. (Smith) Nordike
She married Kenneth C. Joslen on June 22, 1947 in Carlyle, IL. He passed away on April 24, 1974. She later married Edward J. Koeller in May 1985 in Rosewood Heights. He passed away in January 1994.
Dorothy was a homemaker most of her life. She was a member of LIFT, the Bethalto Senior Citizens and New Beginnings. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, and spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kay and William Burton of Moro; a son, Mike K. Joslen of Bethalto; three grandchildren, Kenny Joslen, David Burton and Krista Brenner; two great grandchildren, Breanna and Mylei; her siblings, Dean Nordike of Maryland, Bill and Sue Nordike of Knoxville, TN, Roger Nordike of Greenville, IL and Mary Shepard of Greenville, IL and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, a daughter, Beverly Jean Joslen, and two sisters and two brothers.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until services at 12 Noon on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto with Pastor Charles West officiating.
Burial will follow at McKendree Chapel Cemetery in Keyesport, IL.
Memorials may be made to the Community Hope Center.
