Doris Doersam

Wood River |

Doris M. Doersam, 90, passed away 7:50 a.m. Monday, February 9, 2015 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Born in Robinson, IL on August 10, 1924, she was the daughter of Earl and Sarah (Ball) Hawkins.

She had worked as a cook for the Pancake Ranch in Wood River, and had been a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Wood River.

On April 25, 1946 in Wood River, she married Leo E. Doersam.  He died October 28, 1986.

Surviving are two sons, David Ray (Jane) Doersam of Alton, John Earl Doersam of Wood River; three daughters, Margaret Dallmier and Betty Jean Auten of Wood River, Lisa (David) Hemphill of Alton; seven grandchildren;eight great grandchildren; and a sister, Patty Fletcher of Brazil, IN.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; son, Danny Leo Doersam; daughter, Jane Marie Doersam; brother, Earl, Jr. Hawkins; three sisters, Betty dart, Nancy Hawkins, L'Jeanne Garrard; and a grandson, Michael Dallmier.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Thursday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.

Burial will follow in Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana.
