Delores “Dee” Ann Pope, 79, passed away at 1:25 pm on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at her residence with her family by her side.
She was born in Alton, IL on November 12, 1934 to the late Norman and Genevieve (Lewis) Cope.
Delores retired as a bookkeeper at the Family Services and Visiting Nurses. She loved gardening and spending time with her two dogs, Romeo and Juliet. She was a fun loving “Nanny Dee” to her grandchildren and many others.
Delores is survived by a son and his spouse; Gregory and Karen Pope of Alton, three grandchildren and their spouses; Nicole and Aaron Jones, Megan and Kase McDonald and Eric and Megan Pope, six great grandchildren; Adelie, Mason, Andrew, Clara, Dylan and Connor/
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm, Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton. Private services will be conducted at a latter date.
Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Gardens, in Godfrey
Memorials may be directed to Family Services and Visiting Nurses.
