David W. Wallendorf

David W. Wallendorf, 54, died at 11:35 a.m. Sunday, February 17, 2013 at his home. Born July 25, 1958 in Alton, he was the son of Wayne and Catherine (Pluester) Wallendorf of Brussels. He graduated from Marquette Catholic High School and Lewis & Clark Community College. Dave worked for Intellegrated in St. Louis, MO for 26 years as a project engineer. In October 1988 he married the former Laura E. Dixon; he was a loving and adored husband. Along with his parents and wife, he is survived by two sons, Brian Wallendorf of Denver, CO, and Steven Wallendorf of Alton, two brothers, Michael Wallendorf of St. Louis, MO, and Mark Wallendorf (Candy) of Westminster, CO, one sister, Diane Upton of Austin, TX, nieces, Jillian Wallendorf, and Kendra Upton, nephews, John Wallendorf, and Keith Upton, several cousins, and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ellen and Charles Wiley of Alton. David never questioned the love of his family and they never questioned his love. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 21, 2013 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey. Father Steve Pohlman will officiate. Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
