Darrell G. Sherfy, 66, passed away 9:27 a.m. Sunday, January 17, 2016 at his residence.
Born in Alton on September 3, 1949, he was the son of William and Bernice (Clark) Sherfy.
Darrell had worked in the medical billing department of St. Anthony's Health Center in Alton many years before retiring.
He married Michael W. Stuller on August 26, 2011 in Edwardsville. He survives.
Surviving also are a daughter, Misty (Todd) Meznarsic of Edwardsville; step-son, Steven Stuller of Wood River; granddaughter, Mekenzie Stuller; brother, David Sherfy of Godfrey; and sister, Cindy Sherfy of Bethalto.
Preceding in death by his parents; brother, Gary Sherfy; and former wife, Patricia Sherfy
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday. Pastor Ronnie Johnson will officiate.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation will follow the service.
Memorials may be made to the Riverbend Humane Society in Jerseyville.
