Dannie Lee Harshaw, 67, passed away 6:55 a.m. Monday, May 23, 2016 at his residence.
Born on November 30, 1948 in Granite City, he was the son of James D. and Shirley Mae (Robertson) Harshaw.
A Vietnam army veteran, he had worked as a welder for the Boilermakers Union. He was a Deacon at the 1st Baptist Church of Roxana and a member of the Wood River VFW Post .
He married Nancy Newberry on December 10, 1972 in Phoenix, AZ. She survives.
Surviving also are a daughter, Marilyn (Alan) Hulan of Pegram, TN; five grandchildren; a great grandchild; and a sister, Brenda (Charles) Hogue of Granite City; nieces and nephews.
Preceding in death were his parents; four brothers, Robert, Jim, Johnny and Kenny Harshaw; and a sister, Shirley Crane.
Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until time of service at 1:30 p.m. at Thursday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Pastors Mike Stark and Roy Gibbs will officiate.
Memorials may be made to 1st Baptist Church of Roxana.
