Daniel Curtis Price of Jerseyville Obituary

Daniel Curtis Price, 15, died unexpectedly at 6:59 a.m., Saturday, January 26, 2013 at his residence.

He was born in Springfield on Sept. 8, 1997, and was the son of Ollie Price Jr. and Susan Weller.

Daniel was currently a freshman at Jersey Community High School and enjoyed being a part of the Panther football and track teams, as well as lifting weights and karate. He was particularly excited about just beginning his drivers education courses at the school.

Surviving are his father, Ollie Price Jr. of Jerseyville; his mother, Susan Weller of Jacksonville; nine brothers & sisters, Tammy Downing of Godfrey, Ollie Price III of Jerseyville, Rachel Viviano of Jacksonville, Ashley Weller of Brighton, James Summers of Jerseyville, Amy Pruitt and Beth Pruitt both of Alton, Chris Summers of Jerseyville, and Alex Viviano of Alton; his grandparents, Mazie Bridgeman of Jerseyville, Carol Barnes of Alton; his great grandmother, Rosella Barnes of Alton; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and multitude of friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ollie & Alberta Price, and Dion Barnes.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at the First Assembly of God in Jerseyville, with Rev. Marty Smay officiating.

Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.

Memorials may be given to his family in care of the family in care of the funeral home.

The Price family would like extend their gratitude to the First Assembly of God of Jerseyville in allowing them to honor their son and brother by the use of their building
