Cynthia Kraushaar

Cynthia K. Kraushaar, age 68, of Wood River, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015, at her home.She was born January 7, 1947, in Alton, the daughter of John and Katherine (Lamporter) Miles. Cynthia had worked as a secretary for the Department of Children and Family Services and retired in 2008.She is survived by three sons, Rob Kraushaar of Godfrey, Tim Kraushaar of Fosterburg, and James Kraushaar of Alton; a brother and sister-in-law, Acie and mary Miles of Alton; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Paula and Jim Grubner of Alton, and Carla Miles of Alton; a granddaughter, Megan Kraushaar of Texas; and many friends.She is preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Terry Miles.A private family memorial service will be held at a later date, followed by burial at Upper Alton Cemetery.Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.Online condolences and guest book may be found at www.eliaskallalandschaaf.com
