Concetta Ayres

JERSEYVILLE-  Concetta "Connie"  Ayres, 85, died at 11:10 a.m., Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Jersey Community Hospital in Jerseyville.She was born in Lodi, New Jersey one of four children born to the late Ignazio & Maria Stella (Callorino) Pecorino.A member of the Gospel Assembly Church in Jerseyville, she had also been employed with the Jersey County Health Department as a Home Health Aide for several years.Connie first married Charles March, and they shared many years together and raised two daughter before his death.  She then married Raymond Ayres on May 6, 1977 in Godfrey, and they have shared the past 36 years together, and he survives.Also surviving are her two daughters: Deborah & Gary Eades of Roxana, Cynthia & James Durrwachter of St. Peters, Mo. six grandchildren & three great grandchildren; three step children & their spouses, Richard Ayres, Gary & Janice Ayres, and Cheryl & Ron Brooks all of Godfrey; four step grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; and a brother, Martin Pecorino of Donnellson, Fl.In addition to her parents, and first husband, Charles March, she was preceded in death by a brother, Carmen Pecorino; and a sister, Marie Janwicz.Visitation will be from 11 a.m., Saturday until time of funeral services at 1 p.m., at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.  Rev. Clyde Shaw will officiate.She will be laid to rest in the Noble Cemetery in Otterville.Memorials may be given to the Gospel Assembly Church in Jerseyville.
