Clint Whitehead, 68, passed away 11:38 p.m. Thursday, September 10, 2015 at his residence.
Born in Hohenwald, TN on March 22, 1948, he was the son of Dan and Julia (Savage) Whitehead.
He had worked as a laborer for Local #338 before retiring in 1997.
On December 22, 1967 in Tennessee, he married the former Elizabeth Tite. She survives.
Surviving also are a son, Anthony "Wayne" (Sharon) Whitehead of East Alton; daughter, Julie (Scott) Barrett of East Alton; three grandchildren, Nicholas and David Barrett, Taylor Whitehead; brother, Jerry (Janice) Whitehead of Alton.
Preceding him in death were his parents; granddaughter, Megan Whitehead; and several brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday.
Burial will follow in Woodland Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the family in care of expenses.
