JERSEYVILLE- Christy Jane Mohr, 55, died Monday, January 6, 2014 at St. Louis University Hospital with her family at her side.Christy was born in Jerseyville on Sept. 1, 1958, one of five children born to William Dale & Betty (Willis) Mohr.A member of the Class of 1976 of Jersey Community High School, she attended Lewis & Clark Community College, and was very active in the family church, Fidelity Assembly of God and loved Jesus wholeheartedly. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the love of her life, her son, Chad. Christy was a beautiful woman who was very caring, loving and giving. She was vibrant, fun and outgoing and always had many friends.Surviving are her son & daughter in law, Chad & Amy (Fitzgibbons) Mohr of Jerseyville; her mother, Betty Mohr of Jerseyville; a sister, Elaine Fowler of Jerseyville; three brothers, Shane Mohr & Craig Mohr both of Jerseyville, and Dave Mohr of Naples, Fl.; a niece and nephew, Sara & Joe Banks of Jerseyville and Bryan Mohr of Centerville, Ohio; as well as her best friend, Goldie Duggan of Jerseyville; and a cousin who was more like a sister, Sherry Walling of Goshen, Ky; and numerous other cousins.Christy was preceded in death by her father, William Dale Mohr; her fiance' Stuart Perdunon Feb. 20, 2013; maternal grandparents, Bill Willis & Myrtle Willis; paternal grandparents, William & Gertrude Mohr; a special aunt, Lucile Anderson; and a nephew, Christopher Mohr.Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Saturday at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville, where funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday. Rev. Joe Banks will officiate.Burial will take place in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.Memorials may be given to the Riverbend Humane Society in Jerseyville.
