Charlotte M. Beiser, 72, died at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, March 8, 2015 at her home in Godfrey. Born September 2, 1942 in Hillsboro, IL she was the daughter of Steve and Esther (Greife) Milavec. Mrs. Beiser retired from Delano Insurance Company after 40 years of service. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church where she served on the Altar Society. She was also a member of the Prairie Union Quilt Guild in Jerseyville and the Heartland Quilt Guild in Wood River. On July 21, 1962 she married Robert L. Beiser. He preceded her in death on December 30, 1989. Surviving are three children, Robert T. Beiser (Margarete) of Keller, TX, Julia Huecker (Robert) of Weldon Spring, MO, and Michael Beiser (Julie) of Maryville, IL, six grandchildren, Megan Beiser of Mascoutah, IL, Moriah Beiser of Keller, TX, Evan Pensoneau of Maryville, IL, Tiden Beiser of Maryville, IL, Katie Huecker of Weldon Spring, MO, and Allie Huecker of Weldon Spring, MO, and a sister, Catherine Sawyer of Alton. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 12, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton. Father John Luong will officiate. Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Godfrey. Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Church or the St. Louis Regional Chapter of the ALS Association.
