Charles Nisinger

Charles E. Nisinger Jr., age 68, of Bethalto, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2015, at Red Bud Regional Hospital with his family by his side.He was born June 25, 1946, in Alton, the son of Charles E. and Utha (Boyer) Nisinger Sr.. He married Jane Scherle on May 17, 1996 in Las Vegas, and she survives.Charles had been the Technical Supervisor at the SIUE Dental School before retiring. He loved to spend his time fishing and boating on the Kaskaskia River and spent a lot of time in the clubhouse. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed.In addition to his wife, Jane; he is survived by a son and his wife, Christopher and Sara Nisinger of Leesburg, GA; three step-children and their spouses, Ryan and Meredith Nurnberger of Redbud, IL, Jaclyn and Mitchell Davis of Shiloh, IL, and Rebecca Nurnberger of Wood River; sister, Patricia Webb of Alton; a brother and his wife, Ralph and Connie Nisinger of Godfrey; and two grandchildren, Brandon Nisinger, and Aria Davis.He is preceded in death by his parents.Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 24, 2015, from 4:00 pm until the time of service at 7:00 pm with Pastor (   ) officiating at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.Cremation rites will be accorded.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or to Luekemia-Lymphoma Society.Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto is in charge of arrangements.Online condolences and guest book may be found at www.eliaskallalandschaaf.com
