Carol Heberling

Carol E. Heberling, age 79, of Alton, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 3:43 pm, at Christian Hospital North East in St. Louis, MO.She was born in Green County, IL on March 3, 1936 the daughter of the late Lloyd M. and Nettie (Pruitt) Smith.Carol married Ronald Joe Heberling in 1954 in White Hall, IL. He preceded her in death on March 19, 2003.She was a member of the Heartland Baptist Church in Alton, where she greatly enjoyed her missions group. Carol enjoyed camping and playing cards, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.Carol is survived by three daughters and their spouses, JoEllen and Kent Heinke of Jerseyville, IL, Lois and Tony Anzalone of St. Louis, MO and Ann and Bill Whaley of Wright City, MO; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one brother Paul Smith of North Carolina.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother, Tim Smith.Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 9:30 am until the time of service at 11:00 am, at the Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton.Burial will follow at the Upper Alton Cemetery, in Alton.Memorials may be made to the Heartland Baptist Church in Alton.
