Carla “Caroline” Ballard

Carla “Caroline” Ballard, 69, died at 10:05 a.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at her residence in St. Charles. She was born May 14, 1943 in Kentucky the daughter of the late Turner and Lorene (Frizzell) Heater. She retired after 20 years as an Administrative Assistant with Thomeczek Oil in Alton. On May 5, 1990 in Maryland heights, MO she married her soul mate, Eric L. Ballard and he survives. Also surviving are her beloved son; Douglas Lovell of Alton and one sister; Ruth Ford (Jerry) of Godfrey. She was preceded in death by one brother; Robert “Bob” Heater. Visitation will be Sunday, January 13, 2013 from 2:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. at Gent Funeral Home in Alton, where funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
