Brian Lee Hubbs, 37, was pronounced dead at the scene of a single vehicle accident at 5:45 p.m. Saturday, August 8, 2015 near Collinsville.
Born in Alton on January 22, 1978, he was the son of Nelson Ottwell, Sr. of Moro and Shirley (Lankford) Bettcher of Farmington, MO.
Brian was a painter for Wells Painting and Power Washing.
He married the former Erin Willeford on December 10, 2010 in Edwardsville. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his parents and wife are his step-mother, Joan Ottwell; step-father, Anthony Bettcher, Sr.; four sons, Ethan, Dagen, Carson and Carter Hubbs; four brothers, Steven Hubbs, Sr. of Pontoon Beach, Nelson Ottwell, Jr. of South Roxana, Eric Ottwell, Sr of Brighton, Anthony Bettcher, Jr. of Idaho; two sisters, Bobbie Cabral of California, Dawn Ivy of South Roxana; and in-laws, Curtis and Melissa Willeford of East Alton.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Rev. Michael Southcombe will officiate.
