Bonnie K. McPherson, 67, passed away at 2:20 am Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at her home with her loving family by her side, under the care of Southern Illinois Hospice.
She was born on April 14, 1948 in Wood River, IL, the daughter of W.C. and Faye (Johnson) Bugg.
She married Thomas E. McPherson on July 14, 1987 in Springfield, Illinois. He survives.
Bonnie was a homemaker most of her life. She was a member of the F.O.E. Eagles Ladies Auxiliary of Springfield and of Zeigler, IL. She enjoyed watching TV, St. Louis Cardinals baseball and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and getting together with her former high school classmates in Wood River, IL.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother, Faye of Springfield, IL; a son, Kenny (Marci) Ladd of Lawton, OK and a daughter, Gina (Benedict) Khayyat of Springfield, IL; two stepchildren, Diana (Tony) Andrews of Riverton, IL and Kathy Staley of Springfield, IL and five grandchildren, John Dylan Ketchum, Makenli Ladd, Kameron Ladd, Will Khayyatt and Jordan Andrews.
She was preceded in death by her father and brother, John Bugg, and several aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until services at 7:00 pm Friday, March 11, 2016 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to Remember the Children at St. Agnes School, 251 N. Amos Ave, Springfield, IL 62702 in her name.
