Blake Beasley

Blake Andrew Chapman Beasley, 27, died at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2011.  Born March 28, 1983 in Alton, he was the son of James M. Beasley and Kristin K. Chapman.  He was a technical support coordinator for Gateway Metro Credit Union and was also a student with the University of Phoenix.  Blake was a member of the Eagle Scouts and also River of Life Church in Alton.

Survivors include his parents; his maternal grandmother, Ruth Chapman of Wood River; his paternal grandparents, Donald and Sylvia Beasley of Bunker Hill; his sister and brother-in-law, Brooke and Richard Harms of Roxana; a niece, Victoria Harms; two nephews, Jonathan and Owen Harms; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and his fiancée, Kelly Abbott.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Edmund “Sam” Chapman.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 10 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights, and will continue Tuesday, Jan. 11 at River of Life Church in Alton from 10 a.m. until services begin at 11 a.m.  Pastor Mark Church will officiate.

Burial will be at Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana.

Memorials may be made to the River of Life Church.
