Betty Pfeiffer

Betty Lou Pfeiffer, age 91 years, of Edwardsville, died Sunday, January 31, 2016, at home in Edwardsville. Betty was born Jan 7, 1925, to the late Ralph and Bertha Settle in Ina, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Irvin Udell Pfeiffer (married Feb 16, 1946 at Eden United Church of Christ) in Edwardsville, IL; a brother, Billie Jean Settle of Australia and a sister, Frances Berdella Krouse of Edwardsville. She is survived by her children, all of Edwardsville, IL: Sandra L Thomas, Robert Udell (Patti) Pfeiffer, Bruce Allen (Nadine) Pfeiffer, and Karen Sue (Joe) Sardigal. Grandchildren surviving: Jeffrey Kyl Thomas, Bloomsdale, MO; Jason (Amy) Thomas, Edwardsville, IL; Christopher (Megan) Thomas, Godfrey, IL; Kristi Perez; Stacy (Shaun) Seibert, Edwardsville, IL, Matt (Kristin) Turner, Okawville, IL, Megan Pfeiffer, Edwardsville, IL, Jennifer Sardigal, Savannah, MO, Kyle Sardigal, Edwardsville, IL; Great Grandchildren: Alexander Thomas, Caleb Cassidy, Hubey Thomas, Jillian Thomas, David Makler, Zinnia Perez, Braylen & Brendal Turner, Jase Seibert. Betty worked a few years at Madison Service Company. A lifelong member of Eden United Church of Christ. She was a dedicated mother and wife in her 91 years. She loved music and dancing, passionate about bowling up until 83 years of age and devoted to family making sure her children were given a strong foundation of faith. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Feb 2, 2016 at Weber and Rodney Funeral Home in Edwardsville. A private memorial service will be on Wednesday, Feb 3, with Rev. John Roberts officiating. Following cremation, interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon. Family requests memorial to Eden United Church of Christ.
