Betty E. Greenberg

Betty E. Greenberg, 76, passed away at 4:30 am on Saturday March 16, 2013, at Rosewood Care Center in Alton.

She was born in Alton on December 31, 1936, the son of Joseph and Mildred (Tendick) Hawkins.

On August 31, 1957, Betty married Raymond Greenberg in Alton. He survives.

She loved going out to eat and spending time talking on her CB Radio.

She is survived by two sons and their wives, Ray and Diane Greenberg, and Joseph and Chris Greenberg, all of Alton; a daughter and her husband, Mildred and Mark Lanham, of Alton; ten grandchildren and spouses, Andrea and Ryan Leach, Peter and Kayla Greenberg, Katelyn Greenberg, Chloe Greenberg, Anthony Lanham, Amanda Lanham, Elizabeth Lanham, Megan Lanham, Heather and Keith Gallup, Nick and Autumn Greenberg; five great grandchildren, Isabella Greenberg, Calvin Greenberg, Keigan Gallup, Haylea Greenberg, and Zoie Greenberg.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 4 pm until 8 pm on Tuesday March 19, 2013 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton.

Funeral service will be at 10 am on Wednesday March 20, 2013 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton with Rev. Mike Meyers officiating.

Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park.

Memorials may be directed to the St. Mary’s Youth Group in Alton.
