Bettie Britts, 86, passed away at 7:20 pm on Monday, September 15, 2014 at Life Care Center of Florissant, MO.
She was born July 22, 1928 in Florissant, MO, the daughter of Frazier and Franzetta (Johnson) Vincent.
She married Samuel A. Britts Sr. on October 18, 1946 at St. Patrick’s Church in Alton. He passed away on June 26, 1993.
Bettie was a LPN at Belle Fountain State School and Hospital. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of West Alton. She enjoyed making crafts, knitting, crocheting, playing cards, camping, traveling, sightseeing and her dogs. She loved working at Belle Fountain State School, where she enjoyed and loved her clients. Above all she loved her family and friends.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Franzetta Britts of St Louis, MO, Samuel A. and Pamela Britts Jr. of Olivette, MO, Debra A. Britts of Spanish Lake, MO and Patricia M. Britts-Robinson and Donald Robinson of St. Charles, MO; five grandchildren Gloria White, Bryan Britts, Nicole (Nikki)Taylor and Thomas Taylor, Natalie Britts and Olivia Robinson; four great grandchildren, Donovan White, Preshis Mosley, Simone Taylor and Victoria Taylor; a great, great grandchild, Donovan White Jr. and two sisters-in-law, Mary Vincent and Vivian Vincent.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Jean Britts, two brothers, James Vincent and Frazier Vincent Jr., two sisters, Josephine Allen and infant sister.
Visitation will be from 9am until services at 10am on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Church in West Alton, Missouri with Father Robert Banken officiating.
Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in West Alton, Missouri.
Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Red Cross or the Humane Society.
