Bertha Mae Jolley, 83, died Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Born September 6, 1931 in Irondale, MO, she was the daughter of John Peter and Eva May (Yates) Benoist. She married Alton Jeff Jolley in 1952 in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death in 1983. Surviving is a son, James Jolley and a step-son, Pat Jolley, a granddaughter, Heather Hall, a great granddaughter, Lualani Hall, and a brother, Charles Benoist. Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Thomas Benoist and two sisters, Ann Ross and Pinnie Boyer. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2015 at the Gospel Tabernacle Church in Godfrey. Reverend Alfred Daves will officiate. Burial will be private at Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana. Memorials may be made to the Gospel Tabernacle Church. Gent Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.
