Bernadette Kathleen Hasquin, 67, of Gillespie, IL died at her residence on Friday, June 6, 2014. She was born September 30, 1946, in Litchfield, IL to Vincent Demuzio Catherine (Murphy) Demuzio. She married David Carl Hasquin on August 14, 1964 in Lexington, KY. He preceded her in death on May 5, 2007. She was a career specialist and office manager for West Central Development Council at the Litchfield Job Center. Bernadette was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 4547 of Gillespie, IL and SS Simon and Jude Altar Society. She is survived by her son, Vincent J. (Alison) Hasquin of Staunton, IL, daughter, Victoria Lynn (William) Bruhn of Gillespie, IL, grandchildren, William Bruhn, Jr. of Gillespie, IL, Rachel Bruhn of Gillespie, IL, Eric Hasquin of Staunton, IL, Emily Hasquin of Staunton, IL, great-grandchildren, Kolson, Brody, sisters, Marlene Demuzio of Gillespie, IL, Catherine Visintin of Gillespie, IL, Donna Burke of Springfield, IL, and sister in law, Deanna Demuzio of Carlinville, IL. Bernadette was preceded in death by his parents, spouse, brother, Senator Vince Demuzio and sister, Jean Demuzio. Friends may call on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral mass will be Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 10:30 AM at SS Simon and Jude Church in Gillespie, IL with Monsignor Larry Auda and Fr. Angel Sierra officiating. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Gillespie, IL. Memorials are suggested to Fight the Fight or SS Simon and Jude Altar Society.
