Barry Charles Cloninger

Barry Charles Cloninger, 51, died at 1:29 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2013 at his home. Born April 27, 1961 in Alton, he is the son of Truman and Betty (Dailey) Cloninger of Alton. Barry owned and operated M.A.C. American Custom Cycle and Repair in Edwardsville which was named after his children Michael, Ashley, and Chelsey who were the light of his life. Barry had many interests but was very passionate about working on Harleys and riding. He loved to ride and feel the wind in his face. He attended the Beltline Christian Center in Alton. On April 12, 1995 he married the former Teri Elliott in Alton. She survives. Also surviving is a son, Jonathan Michael Pellegrino (Amanda) of Brighton, two daughters, Ashley Cloninger-Brimer (Justin) of Lake City, FL, and Chelsey Cloninger of Edwardsville, one grandchild, Payton Pellegrino. Also surviving are two brothers, David Cloninger (Minette) of Tamaroa, IL, and Dan Cloninger (Laura) of Alton, one sister, Vanessa Lonergan (Timothy) of Springfield, IL and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2013. Reverend Matthew Prince will officiate. There will be a memorial ride in his honor to his place of burial at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto. Memorials may be given for a trust fund for his daughter, Chelsey.
