Austin A. Witmer, age 20, of Edwardsville, Illinois, passed away at 12:08 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2016, in Glen Carbon, Illinois. He was born on February 13, 1996, in Newark, Delaware, the son of Warren W. & Linda L. (Suppe) Witmer of Edwardsville. Austin was currently enrolled at SIUE for the summer and fall semesters. Along with his parents, Austin is survived by one brother, Dustin Witmer & wife Cortney of Leesburg, Virginia; his paternal grandparents, Clarence & Esther Witmer, Jr. of Greencastle, PA; and his maternal grandparents, Tilio & Linda Suppe of Newark, Delaware, & Venice, Florida; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Austin attended Eden United Church of Christ in Edwardsville. He was a member of the Edwardsville YMCA swim team for many years and went on to swim for the Edwardsville High School swim team before graduating in 2014. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home in Edwardsville. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2016, at Eden United Church of Christ in Edwardsville with Rev. John Roberts officiating.
