Armella Ann Brugger, 83, of Wood River, IL, died at 4:00 a.m. Sun. May 3, 2015 at Relias Bonne Eau Hospice Home in Edwardsville, IL.
She was born Sept. 23, 1931 in Murphysboro, IL to the late Anthony Charles & Marina Armella (Henrich) Brugger.
Ms. Brugger worked at Sinclair Refinery & Clark Refinery as a secretary, retiring after 40 years of service. She was a faithful member of Holy Angels Catholic Church and was also a Franciscan. She loved gardening in her greenhouse, specializing in exotic flowers. She loved her church and had a fondness for angels and bunny rabbits.
Survivors include: 2 sisters, Marita Biggerstaff of South Roxana and Dorothy Biesk of Wood River, nieces & nephews, Jeffrey Gass of Granite City, Marilyn Harvey of Belleville, IL, Linda & Patrick Burgess of Granite City, IL, Julie Biesk of Alton, IL and Steve & Missy Biesk of Hartford, IL and great-nieces & nephews, MaKenzie Biesk, Morgan & Tyler Robertson and Joel Biesk.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by: a sister, Mary Jane Gass.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wed. May 6, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Fr. James Flach as celebrant. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens.
