Annita Jean Sweeney Dunn, 63, died at 10:16 a.m. Friday, May 15, 2015 at Jerseyville Nursing & Rehab. Born October 14, 1951 in Alton, she was the daughter of George G. and Rita (Sproules) Sweeney. Annita was a self-employed beautician since 1970. She retired in 2010 after 40 years of service. Surviving is a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Nate Brooks of Brighton, a grandson, Parker Brooks, and three sisters, Maria Fischer (Ed Euler) of Springfield, Rita Fischer of Alton, and Joy Butler of Alton. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 21, 2015. Reverend Roy Rhodes will officiate.
