Annie Leona Estes, 91, died at 4:55 a.m., Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Jerseyville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.She was born in Granite City on Feb. 9, 1923, and was the daughter of Thomas & Elsie L. (Woodson) Dotson.Annie was a former member of Healing Waters Temple in Jerseyville, and was employed in the health care field all her adult life working as an aide at various nursing homes including the former Greenwood Manor and Jersey Care Center.She married Thomas Estes on April 12, 1962 in Jerseyville, and they shared many years together before his death.Surviving are a daughter & son in law, Linda & James Bagby of St. Louis, Mo.; a daughter in law, Helen Stone of Jerseyville; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; numerous great great grandchildren; and two brothers, Robert Dotson of Sun City, Az., and Thomas Dotson of Whittier, Ca.In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Dotson; her mother, Elsie Murray; two sons, William Stone & Richard Stone; a daughter, Janet Ann Reardon; two grandsons, Brian Stone & William Thomas Stone.Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville, where funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday.Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.Memorials may be given to the Jersey County Health Department or to St. Jude's Hospital.
