Anna Hausman

Anna Eileen Hausman, 15, died at 9:10 p.m., Saturday, March 19, 2016 from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident in rural Jersey County.She was born in Alton on March 29, 2000 and was one of two children born to John C. & Susan E. (Willis) Hausman.Anna was currently a sophomore at Jersey Community High School, and participated on the Panther volleyball and girls soccer teams.She was blessed to be part of a large, loving family, and those lucky enough to know Anna, loved her.  She was a beautiful girl, with a beautiful soul, who approached life with a fun loving and easy going attitude.  She was devoted to her faith, family and friends, and possessed a passion for music.  She had a smile that could light up any room, and her humor brought laughter wherever she went.  Words can not even begin to express how much she will be missed.Surviving are her parents, John & Susan Hausman of Jerseyville; a brother, Wyatt Hausman of Jerseyville; grandparents, Gary & Frances Willis of Jerseyville and John & Nicki Hausman of Brighton; great grandparents, Elsie Daniels of Odin, Dale Wathern of Wood River, and Jerri Heiser of Bethalto; aunts & uncles, Ellen & Steve Schaefer, Karen & Steve Meredith all of Jerseyville, Matt & Millie Hausman of Lee's Summit, Mo., David & Abbey Hausman of Godfrey, Christa & Ed Jones of Edwardsville, and Nathan & Janae' Hausman of Frisco, Tx.; along with many loving cousins.She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Judy (Daniels) Hausman.Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Jerseyville, with Revs. Brent Meyer and Don Carpenter officiating.Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.Anna had planned on serving on a mission in trip in January 2017, and in honor of her desire, memorials may be given to the Anna Hausman Memorial Scholarship Fund, which will benefit and sponsor children at the School of Good Shepherd in Soloy, Panama.
