Alan Dale Clugsten, 61, went to be with the Lord and His angels on Monday, July 20, 2015. He loved God, his country, automobiles, NASCAR, dogs and socializing with his friends. He was born May 22, 1954 in Alton. In his lifetime he worked for the railroad, Sears Automotive, and Winchester. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Stella (Bowman) Clugsten, and infant sisters, Dorothy and Paulette. He is survived by brothers, Joseph A. (Melody) Clugsten of Dorsey, William Paul Clugsten and his partner John Brancaglione of St. Louis, MO, a sister, Mary Louise (Abid) Khan of Gallatin, TN, nieces, Saira (Becket) Gremmels, Sheri Khan, and Samantha Khan, and great nephews, Cavan and Jude Gremmels. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Reverend Steve Rice will officiate. Burial will be at Summit Grove Cemetery in Kampsville, IL. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, 525 Alby, P.O.
